Design of a Communication Infrastructure for Company JOSA-KOVO s.r.o.
Salaj, Tomáš ; Šimeček, Jiří (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The subject of bachelor thesis is the design of a communication infrastructure for company JOSA – KOVO s.r.o. The design includes cabling, device necessary for running the data network and servers. In the first part, there is theoretical knowledge and solutions for the communication infrastructure, its model and application . The second part is practical and discusses the design of new communication infrastructure and the most appropriate way of its implementation considering the economical costs of these solutions.
Impact of Communication Parameters on Energy Consumption of Zigbee Devices
Popelka, Jan ; Červenka, Vladimír (referee) ; Šimek, Milan (advisor)
This thesis deals with the energy research and design a simple wireless sensor networks. The data modules with ZigBee wireless communication technology. The main feature of wireless sensor networks is the minimal energy devices at low cost and maximum data reliability. Furthermore, the work describes firmware for communicating nodes with the ability to change parameters of data transmission and thus affect the energy consumption node. Calculations of energy consumption, compared with measured results and discharge characteristics of the battery packs are included in the final chapters of this work.
Design of a laboratory for lecturing critical infrastructure
Chudý, Martin ; Jordán, Vilém (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
This bachelor’s thesis focuses on design of computer network, primarily on the level of physical layer of the ISO/OSI model. Design is designated for building a new laboratory for lecturing critical infrastructure. Within the laboratory we need to choose transmission technology and draft their placement. New laboratory will be created by merging two separated classrooms.
MIMO technology in IEEE 802.11ac standard
Kvasnička, Jaroslav ; MSc, Zenon Kuder, (referee) ; Miloš, Jiří (advisor)
The object of this work is to study the IEEE 802.11ac standard, paying attention to the issue of the physical layer standard, to study in detail the use of MIMO and implement this technology into framework of WIFI simulator.
Small Computer Network Design
Bátora, Peter ; Jordán, Vilém (referee) ; Ondrák, Viktor (advisor)
The aim of this thesis is to analyse the current state of the computer network of the company and its requirements to improve the network, then to propose necessary changes and how they are going to be implemented. The work will also be a description of the appropriate network components, technology selection, and implementation process.
Coexistence of the communication systems in ISM band
Nowak, Dan ; Kejík, Petr (referee) ; Prokopec, Jan (advisor)
The purpose of this work is to study the physical layer technology of the communication systems working in the ISM band, to describe coexistence mechanisms in the selected frequency band, consequently to create models of the physical layers in the Simulink interface, to simulate synchronous transmission of the devices and to modify the model in order to correspond with coexistence mechanisms described in IEEE standard 802.15.2. The practical part of this paper examines the effect of Wi-Fi device output power on the transmission speed during synchronous transmission with Bluetooth device.
Signal processing in ZigBee system
Miloš, Jiří ; Bradáč, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hanus, Stanislav (advisor)
Master's thesis The Signal Processing in ZigBee System is focused on properties of Physical Layer of ZigBee (standard IEEE 802.15.4 - 2003). The work consists of three parts. The first part contains common view on using and properties of ZigBee. The next part focuses on the Medium Access Control Layer and in detail on the Physical Layer. There described signal processing in the Physical Layer in individual radio bands. The last part of the project contains the process of modeling in the MATLAB for both models of system ZigBee (bands 868/915 MHz and 2450 MHz). The last part of thesis deals with the simulations of BER depending on Carrier-to-Noise Ratio. Also examined the coexistence of systems operating in the same or a nearby frequency band. Based on the results of simulations there are given recommendations for the use of the ZigBee system in minimizing BER.
FPGA implementation of PCS and PMA sublayer of 50Gb/s Ethernet
Suchanek, Michal ; Levek, Vladimír (referee) ; Bohrn, Marek (advisor)
The main goal of this thesis is to familiarize with 25/50 Gigabit Ethernet Consortium standard, which defines 50Gb/s Ethernet. Study about PCS and PMA sublayer specifications for Ethernet physical layer in 50GBASE-R mode. Describe and implement mentioned PCS and PMA sublayers in VHDL language for FPGA circuits and selected acceleration card. Verify correct functionality of physical layer through tests on given acceleration card.
Model of physical layer of communication system IEEE 802.11ah
Jurák, Petr ; Staněk, Miroslav (referee) ; Polák, Ladislav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the analysis of the IEEE 802.11ah wireless communication system. For such a purpose, an appropriate simulation model in program environment MATLAB is created. The first part of thesis focuses on the IEEE 802.11 standard. Basic blocks of the transmitter and receiver are described. Attention is also devoted on the brief description of considered transmission channels. The second part contains the description of the proposed and realized simulation model in MATLAB. Individual blocks of the simulation model are described in details. Finally, the obtained simulation results are evaluated and discussed.
Human activity detection in indoor spaces via WLAN network
Sekanina, Tomáš ; Vašina, Petr (referee) ; Miloš, Jiří (advisor)
Bachelor thesis represents possibilities of use WLAN network and standard IEEE 802.11n for object or human detection in a room with different scenarios. Bachelor thesis includes a theoretical description of WLAN network and family of WLAN standards IEEE 802.11 with detailed focus on standard IEEE 802.11n and its physical layer. Attention is also paid to the wave propagation inside buildings. It also includes description of measuring Wi-Fi INTEL 5300 NIC, CSI Tool 802.11n and controlling measuring NIC in operating system Linux. In practical part is demonstrated analysis of high-throughput packets using standard 802.11n. Results of measurement of object and human detection in a room are exported to programming language MATLAB and there are analyzed. Results of experiments are discussed in conclusion of bachelor thesis.
